Position Titles:  ICT instructors (2 positions)

 

Admas University College, Hargeisa Branch (AUC, HB), founded in 2006, is one of the first higher learning institutions in Somaliland after the civil war. It is a branch of the highly reputed Admas University College, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The  Hargeisa Main Campus of the university college is situated  in a splendor  building, conveniently located in the  North-Western environ of Hargeisa city, just few blocks from the renowned first- class tourist Hotel Maansoor. AUC, HB offers students an academic year divided into two; two semesters and a short two-month long summer session. The academic undergraduate profile is competitive, with a GPA of at least 2.00. AUC students are offered studies recipients of prestigious Bachelor Degree awards in practical accounting, management, economics, ICT and development within three years.

EDUCATION

· MSc. in Computer science or related area with strong background in programming languages and computer networking technologies, databases who can teach broad range of ICT courses.

· CCNA, MSCE, OCA, OCP certifications will be an added advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE 

· A three year working experience of teaching in an educational Institute.

· Must have had experience in teaching remedial courses in IT, and must have previously taught adult learners of diverse academic performance records.

· Familiarity with different teaching approaches, tools and methodologies.  

· Ability to plan and create course outline that anticipates and is responsive to the needs of AUC and students. 

· University experience is plus. 

· In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform assigned and additional duties and work irregular hours under unpredictable conditions. 

SKILLS

· Excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Competencies as an effective communicator, successful negotiator, active learner, team player, and cross-cultural facilitator. 

· Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and respect of faculty, staff and students.

LANGUAGES 

· English language fluency required.
